Many repairs have been done to the garbage truck and they are still waiting for a quote from Sanitation Products for further repairs needed.
Mr. Hall attended the SDWWA conference where he got some good feedback about the new technology available for automatic meter reads. The meters the City currently uses are no longer available for purchase new, we must buy used ones. So far the least expensive option for automatic meter readers he has researched would cost $50,000. Mr. Hall says it is something the City will need to look into but he will keep doing what he can to keep the current system going as it is.
They are in the process of annual meter readings and are approximately 50% done.
