MINUTES OF THE
NEW UNDERWOOD CITY COUNCIL


A regular meeting of the New Underwood City Council was held at 6:00 p.m. at the Community Center on May 15, 2019. Present were: Council President Larry Graham, Councilmembers: Teresa Gossard and Kathy Trullinger. Absent: Mayor Trullinger and Councilmember, Karin Shoemaker. Also present: Clerk Ione Wolf, Dir. of Public Works Tim Hall, Serena Rice, and Cylee Kissack, Assistant Pool Manager. The meeting was called to order by Council President Graham.



AGENDA

Motion by Teresa Gossard, second by Kathy Trullinger, to approve the agenda. Aye: all. Motion carried.



MINUTES

Moved by Teresa Gossard, second by Kathy Trullinger, to approve the May 1, 2019, Council Meeting minutes with the addition of “Aye: all. Motion carried.” (after April 17th Malt Beverage renewals). Aye: all. Motion carried.



PUBLIC WORKS

Public Works Director said the city dump would be open from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Saturday, May 18th, weather permitting. The pool rack for the heaters is approximately two-thirds done. Mike Siegel, Public Works employee, has been injured on the job. Tim stressed that no yard waste be placed in the garbage totes as the Rapid City Landfill does not want to accept yard waste with the household garbage.



POOL MANAGER

Cylee Kissack requested family swim time on Sundays from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the cost of $10.00 per family which the council discussed and agreed to as long as there was enough interest to keep it going.
Swimming aerobics were discussed and the pool staff will submit a schedule and price later.
Joe Vetter is to start plumbing as soon as the solar heating system is ready.
A list of volunteers for the pool was requested for the year 2019.


SPIKING PERMIT

Motion by Kathy Trullinger, second by Larry Graham, to approve Spiking Permit; SP#19-02; Teresa Gossard. Aye: all. Motion carried.



OTHER ITEMS DISCUSSED:

Governmental fund sheets were presented.
Thank you to the Wicksville Workers for the generous donation to the Food Pantry at City Hall.




Being no further business Council President Graham adjourned the meeting at 6:12 P.M.
