MINUTES OF THE
NEW UNDERWOOD CITY COUNCIL
A special meeting of the New Underwood City Council was held at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Center on October 1, 2012. Present were: Mayor Jack Trullinger, Council member’s: Rikka Buchtel, Laurie Holloway, Sheila White, and Joe Whitney. Also present: Finance Officer Meri Jo Anderson and Director of Public Works John Bale.
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the repairs to the north well.
AGENDA
Motion by Whitney second by White to approve the agenda. Aye: all. Motion carried.
NORTH WELL REPAIRS
Options for well repairs were: must do - new pump and pipe - $27,986.02; Optional: stainless steel pipe - $28,530.84 Motor controller - $14,000.00. (The motor controller had quotes from Taylor and Paul’s Electric.)
Much discussion on the correct repairs and financial considerations followed.
Motion by Whitney second by Buchtel to purchase the repairs through Taylor Drilling for the pump, pipe, and controller. Roll call vote. Aye: Buchtel, Holloway, White, and Whitney. Motion carried. (The money the water fund is short will come from the roof fund.)
SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET ORDINANCE
Supplemental Budget Ordinance Number 12-12 received its first reading. (This ordinance adds $42,000.00 to the budget for these repairs.) Moved by Buchtel second by Whitney to approve the first reading of Ordinance Number 12-12. Aye: all. Motion carried.
Being no further business Mayor Trullinger adjourned the meeting at 6:48 p.m.
