Minutes March 16, 2016
A regular meeting of the New Underwood City Council was held at 6:00 p.m. at the Community Center on March 16, 2016. Present were: Mayor Jack Trullinger, Councilmembers: Larry Graham, Laurie Holloway, and Kathy Trullinger. Absent: Rikka Buchtel. Also present: Ione Wolf, Clerk, Tim Hall, Dir. of Public Works, Teresa Gossard, Karin Shoemaker, and Dianne Trullinger.
AGENDA
Motion by K. Trullinger second by L. Holloway to approve the agenda. Aye: all. Motion carried.
MINUTES
Moved by L. Holloway second by K. Trullinger to approve the March 2, 2016 minutes as presented. Aye: all. Motion carried.
BUILDING PERMIT
BP#16-05; John Oberlander; 102 N. “B” Ave; fence & move steps
Motion by L. Graham second by L. Holloway to approve this permit. Aye: all. Motion carried.
OTHER ITEMS DISCUSSED:
The Cleanup Day is set for April 23, and April 24, 2016, with the dump being open from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M..
The dump will be open for the regular season from 8:00 A.M. to noon commencing April 16, 2016, and the first and third Saturdays from 8:00 to noon thereafter until the season ends.
A citizen’s complaint was received regarding dump hours. After a discussion was held, it was determined the dump hours will remain the same.
The Pet Clinic is also scheduled for April 23, 2016, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon with Dr. Vicky Cook of the Cook Veterinary Clinic.
Public Works has completed the work on the drainage in front of City Hall where the water has pooled in the past. Also, they picked up the1991 Ford distributor truck for $3,600.00.
Mayor Trullinger sent letter to a resident to clean up their yard after receiving complaints.
The Equalization Meeting will be held on March 21, 2016, at 5:30 P.M. at City Hall to hear the written objections.
Being no further business Mayor Trullinger adjourned the meeting at 6:13 P.M.
